He's saying, please take me inside by the fire! Here he is warm.
While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."
Luke 2:6-12
While in Orlando we drove from there to the Kennedy Space center and spent half a day there. It was pretty cool. They had tons of rockets and other space memorabilia along with Imax movies and a memorial to the brave astronauts who have lost their lives over the years in our exploration of space. This area is called the rocket garden and has samples of the many rockets used through out the years.
I was recently in Atlanta, GA and took some time to visit the Georgia Aquarium. I didn't lug my tripod around, but I did use my monopod and got a couple of interesting shots, nothing spectacular. The Georgia Aquarium is one huge place!
We have emerged from a seemingly long, cold and wet winter. I pulled my camera out today for the first time in what seems like months. It felt good to hold it and hear the sound of the shutter. I hope they never get rid of that sound from cameras, there's something about it that seems to be an intricate part of photography. Anyways, when you add to this yucky cold winter the fact that I've been working hard at getting my MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification it adds up to no time for shooting. I hope to change this here after I finish my last test which is scheduled in the next couple of weeks. Thanks to you all who continue to visit despite my lack of posting!
We had a small break in the seemingly forever cold wet winter. We were blessed to actually reach around 62 degrees outside. We jumped at the chance to get outside and soak up a bit of the sun. For the next 5 or 6 posts will be some of the fun we had playing on the slide at a playground near our house. The very next day it turned back to cold and barely hit 35 degrees. Yuck. I believe the temperature this week is supposed to get up to the upper 50's. I am so ready for spring and summer.
I'm not into fishing, it's not relaxing and it's not fun to me! My son loves it, lucky for him he has a Grandpa and a Brother-in-law who likes to fish! My Brother-in-law brought an old tackle box that was his Grandfathers and it had a bunch of old lures and fishing line. Not sure how old it is, but it looks pretty old!
